Deep Diving
Planning, gas, narcosis and calm, controlled descents. The class that asks the most of a diver, which is exactly why Ron loves teaching it.
Diving since 2003 and teaching since 2011. Ron is happiest on a deep wreck with a camera in hand, and he loves the challenge of teaching divers to go further.

Diver since 2003. Instructor since 2011. Wrecks, deep water and a camera.
Ron started diving in 2003 and never looked back. In 2011 he became an instructor, because helping someone take on something hard is the best part of the sport.
Ron loves the challenge. That's what pulled him past recreational limits into Extended Range decompression and sidemount, and it's why he now teaches both as an SSI instructor.
His favorite place to be is on a wreck. The San Francisco Maru in Chuuk Lagoon sits at the top of his list: deep, intact, and still loaded with tanks and trucks from 1944.
He rarely dives without a camera. He shoots a Nikon Z8 in an Ikelite housing, and he teaches underwater photography so other divers can bring home what they saw.
Of everything he teaches, Deep is his favorite class. It asks the most of a diver, and seeing a student handle it calmly never gets old.
